HOW TO JOIN ICCBnet

GOALS AND PURPOSE

  1. The goals of the ICCB program are that participating sites from bioinformatically developing regions become knowledgeable and proficient in receiving, analyzing and transmitting bioinformatic data over the networks; attain self-sufficiency in these skills; and then, functional autonomy as national or regional bioinformatic nodes.
  2. ICCBnet connects all ICCB Regional, National and Local sites. ICCBnet offers assistance and support to member sites by means of apprenticeships, training courses, workshops and professional meetings.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Membership in ICCBnet is open to all interested parties who agree with the goals and purpose of ICCBnet and meet the professional requirements of the network.
  2. A National Node undertakes to coordinate ICCBnet activities (assistance to local subsites, etc.) within its country. National Node status requires the appointment/agreement of some appropriate government or other public body (National Academy of Science, Ministry of Education, UNESCO National Committee, etc.) in the local country.
  3. Regional Node status requires a commitment by a National Node to coordinate ICCBnet activities in its geographical/demographical region.
  4. For further information on membership, please contact: M. Edelman, ICCB Coordinator
